A host of their first team stars, including Ben Chilwell, Reece James and Thiago Silva, featured as top flight clubs look to manage their options after what has been a short pre-season due to the Euros and Copa America.
A huge amount of secrecy has surrounded Sunday's match, that ended in a 4-1 win for the Reds.
Divock Origi, Neco Williams, Curtis Jones and Kaide Gordon all notched for the Merseyside outfit.
Both Henderson and Thiago played the best part of 80 minutes having been left out of Liverpool's opening win at Norwich.
The Liverpool captain is looking to return whilst a cloud hangs over him as his contract winds down.
Recent reports claimed little progress had been made in discussions amid fears he could leave for nothing.
However Jurgen Klopp remains relaxed and optimistic about the situation.
"I know what's going on behind the scenes and am relaxed," he told Sky Sports.
"We don't talk about these kinds of things and we cannot make exemptions for one specific case.
"The one thing I can say is nobody has to worry. Things will go their way and be handled like they should be.
"That's all I can give you as news but if I'm relaxed about this then you can imagine it's going in the right direction."
The German saw his side begin their Premier League campaign with a win at Carrow Road as Virgil van Dijk returned to league action.
