Liverpool vs Arsenal line ups confirmed as five make Anfield debuts in Carabao Cup

Harvey Elliott will this evening become the youngest player to ever appear for Liverpool at Anfield.

Elliott, who is aged 16 years 209 days, has been named in the starting line-up for the League Cup fourth round tie against Arsenal.

The teenage right-winger is one of five Anfield debutants to feature in a side completely changed by Jurgen Klopp from the 2-1 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Fellow summer signing Sepp van den Berg will partner Joe Gomez at centre-back while Rhian Brewster starts in attack.

Neco Williams, the 18-year-old Welsh right-back, makes his first senior appearance having impressed during training with the first team in recent weeks.

Caoimhin Kelleher remains Liverpool's League Cup goalkeeper, while James Milner is the left-back.

Adam Lallana, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain make up a strong midfield, while Divock Origi joins Brewster and Elliott up front.

Curtis Jones is among a very young bench.
