Liverpool v Leicester prediction, strap yourself in for another wild Anfield affair

It's not just the team he reports on who are on form.

Paul Gorst gave you Georginio Wijnaldum to score the first goal at 14/1 last weekend, just a few weeks after he was cruelly robbed of his Trent Alexander-Arnold first goal tip at Burnley.

So obviously we asked him what he thinks will happen at Anfield tomorrow.

Win, lose or draw?

Tough one, this. Leicester arrive at Anfield in fine form and are third in the Premier League table. Liverpool, though, simply don't do domestic defeats at Anfield, having not lost at home in the league since April 23 2017. I fancy the Foxes to have a go, but it will ultimately be eight from eight for Jurgen Klopp's Reds. Thepools.com make that outcome a 1/2 tip . If you fancy an upset - which I don't - Leicester are 11/2 .

Who's a good bet for first scorer?

Mo Salah got two precious goals in the week against Red Bull Salzburg and I expect him to add to that at Anfield. Jamie Vardy is a happy hunter against the Reds, having netted seven times against them during his career. I think both will get their names on the scoresheet. Salah is 16/5 to score first, Vardy 13/2 . If you fancy Vardy for a Leicester consolation goal he's 2/1 to score at any time .

Who's on the naughty step (first card)?

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho have both picked up two bookings each this season. I fancy the Brazilian midfielder to add to that tomorrow with some textbook cynicism in the closing stages.

Who's on pens?

That'll be Mo Salah. Another reason why he is a smart bet for first goalscorer.

Will Liverpool keep a clean sheet?

No. Both Liverpool and Leicester have the joint-best defensive records in the division with just five shipped each. Having said that, I think tomorrow will be another wild Anfield affair, and I'm tipping the hosts to nick it 3-2. Both Teams To Score and Either Team to win is a big 7/5 .
