Liverpool v Huddersfield Town predictions as Reds tipped to send Man City statement of intent

Liverpool are back in action tonight when they take on Huddersfield Town at Anfield.

Man City overtook the Reds on Wednesday when they defeated Manchester United 2-0.

Jurgen Klopp's side will now be looking for a quick return to the top by taking out the already relegated Terriers.

Pundits Michael Owen and Mark Lawrenson have shared their prediction on for the Huddersfield game - and it’s good news for Liverpool fans.

All Liverpool can do now is keep winning, and hope Manchester City drop points somewhere.

I don't think this game will be a problem for Jurgen Klopp's side, because Huddersfield will not be able to keep them out.

Klopp has Wednesday's Champions League semi-final against Barcelona to think about too, but I don't think he should rotate too much, and I don't believe he will.

Huddersfield haven’t scored in their last eight meetings against Liverpool in all competitions and it is hard to make a case for the Terriers against title chasing Liverpool who must win after rivals Manchester City regained top spot following their 2-0 success at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.

The Reds have won their last six league games on the spin and are unbeaten in their last 38 home league games.

Town have lost their five away games against the other ‘big six’ sides by an aggregate total of 2-19. Liverpool to march on and improve their goal difference along the way.
