GOAL! Liverpool 3-2 Crystal Palace (Salah 75)

Premier League: A howler of epic proportions from Julian Speroni gifts Liverpool the lead again. The Palace goalkeeper is playing his first match in two years and has had a shocker, there - not that you’d know it from following the club’s Twitter feed. The veteran flapped a harmless looking volleyed cross from James Milner, sending it looping backwards towards his own goal. Mo Salah buried the ball from an inch or so out at the far post, but the ball would have gone in anyway. It may actually have crossed the line before Salah intervened.

Championship: Stoke have gone a goal up against Leeds United, where Sam Clucas has given Nathan Jones’s side the lead.

GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 Crystal Palace (Salah 46)

Premier League: My inbox is filling up with angry emails from Liverpool fans who have taken a very dim view of the very notion that Mo Salah might have dived to try to win a penalty in the first half. I was under the mistaken impression Mamadou Sakho didn’t actually touch him, but according to some of the correspondence I’ve been receiving, he actually grappled Salah to the ground, kicked the Egyptian repeatedly in the head and then wiped his feet on his chest.

Anyway, all is well in the world of Liverpool fans again, as Salah has recovered sufficiently from this brutal assault to equalise for the Premier League leaders very early in the second half.

A late change for Manchester United ...

Luke Shaw has been struck down with illness of some kind and is replaced in the Manchester United line-up by Diogo Dalot, with Matteo Darmian now on the bench.

Match report: Wolves 4-3 Leicester City

Ben Fisher was at Molineux to see Wolves prevail in a thriller with a late, late winner from hat-trick hero Diogo Jota. Here are his thoughts on the final whistle.

A few selections of note ...

Manchester United: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fields an unchanged side against Brighton.

Brighton: Chris Hughton also fields an unchanged side.

Liverpool: James Milner looks likely to fill in for Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back. Naby Keita and centre-back Joel Matip also come in for the injured Georginio Wijnaldum and Xherdan Shaqiri. Fabinho moves back into midfield after deputising in central defence last weekend.

Crystal Palace: Goalkeeper Julian Speroni - currently the Premier League’s oldest player, who turns 40 in May - makes his first appearance since December 2017 because of injuries to Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey.

West Ham: Marko Arnautovic is left out of West Ham’s squad for the game at Bournemouth amid reports of a move to China and is replaced by Andy Carroll.

Full-time: Wolves 4-3 Leicester City

Wolves hang on at the death to take all three points against Leicester in an absolutely terrific game at Molineux. Leicester fans have been complaining that watching their team is boring; this might prompt them to change their tune. Diogo Jota with a hat-trick as Wolves beat Leicester.

Goal! Wolves 3-3 Leicester (Morgan 87)

Wes Morgan has just nodded a terrific James Maddison free-kick home to equalise for Leicester City against Wolves at Molineux in the 87th minute. Follow the knocking of that one with Scott Murray.

GOAL! Wolves 3-2 Leicester City

Ruben Neves and Diego Jota have combined to restore Wolves’ lead over Leicester City at Molineux. Jota, it was, who picked up a pass over the top from Neves, before leaving Wes Morgan in his dust and rifling home a shot that took a big deflection off Kasper Schmeichel, who was unable to keep it out. There are 24 minutes left and Scott Murray has the latest.

More goals at Molineux ...

Mild-mannered he may be, but Claude Puel appears to given his Leicester players a rocket up the collective backside at half-time. Goals from Demarai Gray and Harvey Barnes in a four-minute spell in the 47th and 51st minutes mean it’s now Wolves 2-2 Leicester City with a little over 30 minutes to play. You can follow the action with Scott Murray.

And finally, League Two

Lincoln City are sitting pretty at the top of League Two, three points clear of Bury despite having played two games fewer. Danny Cowley’s side entertain Grimsby town in today’s 1pm kick-off and currently lead at Sincil Bank by the only goal of the game, scored by Harry Toffolo after 12 minutes.

Faye Carruthers was in the hot-seat in place of the holidaying Max Rushden for Thursday’s thrilling instalment of Football Weekly, in which we discussed the travails of Arsenal, Marcelo Bielsa’s PowerPoint presentation and a whole lot more besides.

Today in the Championship

Norwich City beat Birmingham 3-1 in last night’s match at Carrow Road, a game of two halves … only the first of which was any good. The Canaries kept the pressure on leaders Leeds United, who have had an eventful week which they end with a trip to Stoke City.

Today in the Premier League

Wolves are hosting Leicester City in the day’s lunchtime kick-off and it’s currently 2-0 to the home side at half-time, where Diogo Jota and Ryan Bennett have scored the goals.

Later on, Roy Hodgson takes Crystal Palace to Anfield, where the former Liverpool manager is not remembered with any great fondness by the locals who were less than impressed with his spell in charge. They’ll be even less impressed if Palace can do a number on the league leaders, ahead of Manchester City’s trip to Huddersfield tomorrow Nearer the bottom of the table, Newcastle entertain Cardiff City in what is arguably the pick of the other three o’clock kick-offs.
