Liverpool FC ushered in a new era earlier today with the official unveiling of its 2025-26 home and away kits, marking the return of Adidas as the club's official kit supplier. The event wasn't just about fresh designs. It was about legacy, emotion and looking forward.

This launch is especially significant, not only for reviving a historic partnership but also for paying tribute to the late Diogo Jota. The Portuguese forward, who tragically passed away last month, will be remembered in every shirt worn this season.

Adidas Partnership Begins a Bold New Chapter

Liverpool has ended its five-year relationship with Nike and signed a new 10-year deal with Adidas. According to club officials, the agreement is about more than just kit supply. It symbolises a long-term vision built on tradition and innovation.

'This is more than just the launch of a new kit – it marks the beginning of a 10-year relationship for LFC and adidas,' said Ben Latty, Chief Commercial Officer, via LFC's official announcement.

He added: 'Since announcing the partnership in March, there's been a huge sense of anticipation and excitement. This first collection sets the tone for seasons to come.'

Adidas, which last partnered with the club from 2006 to 2012, has also expressed its pride in seeing the three stripes return to Anfield. The collaboration goes beyond kits and represents a renewed ambition shared by both club and supporters.

Classic Designs With Modern Detail

The home kit embraces Liverpool's iconic identity. Rendered in the club's traditional red, it features white Adidas stripes along the sleeves, a modern crew neck, and matching red shorts and socks. The design evokes classic kits from the late 1980s and early 2000s.

Details include embroidered white Liver bird and sponsor logos, while the back of the collar features a small white patch with two flames and the number 97 in tribute to the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.

The away kit, on the other hand, offers a fresh look. With a base colour called Wonder White and subtle red and black accents, it is paired with black shorts and white socks. The away shirt introduces a shield-shaped Liver bird crest, a nod to the Main Stand's historic roof arch at Anfield. Both shirts are available in short and long sleeve options.

A Heartfelt Tribute to Diogo Jota

The launch also carries deep emotional weight. Diogo Jota, known for his relentless energy and clinical finishing, tragically died alongside his brother André Silva in a car accident in Spain on 3 July 2025, according to the Daily Mail.

Fans left flowers and tributes at Anfield, and the club has since announced plans for a memorial sculpture using those items. After consulting with Jota's family, Liverpool has retired the No. 20 shirt.

A 'Forever 20' emblem will now appear on all official kits and jackets. Liverpool's first home match of the season, against Bournemouth on 15 August, will include a commemorative mosaic and a minute's silence in Jota's honour. Proceeds from 'Diogo J. 20' shirt printing will go to the LFC Foundation to support youth football initiatives bearing his name.

Where to Get the New Kits and Special Offers

The new 2025-26 home and away kits are now available through Liverpool FC's official website, the LFC Store app, and club stores both in the UK and internationally. Select Adidas stores and online retailers are also stocking the collection.

Fans who purchase both the home and away shirts within the first week will receive a 10% discount. Red Members and season ticket holders are entitled to an additional 10% off. Profits from 'Diogo J. 20' printing will be directed to community football projects through the LFC Foundation.

The men's team will debut the home kit in a friendly match against Athletic Club, while the women's side will wear the away strip for the first time against Aston Villa.

Liverpool's 2025-26 kit launch is more than a fashion moment. It is a unifying gesture, a tribute to a beloved player, and the beginning of a new chapter with Adidas that promises a future built on both respect and reinvention.
