Liverpool unveil stylish training kit with brand new shirt sponsor

Liverpool have unveiled a brand new training kit with AXA making its debut as a shirt sponsor.

The Reds struck up a deal with AXA in October last year with the French company becoming the club's first global insurance partner.

As a result of the agreement, the insurance giants will have their logo emblazoned on a range of training gear that is now available to pre-order from official Liverpool channels .

Part of the range include training tops, tracksuit bottoms, jackets, polo shirts and sleeveless hoodies.

"As a world leader in its industry, AXA shares our ambitions and values, which will provide the foundations for a special long-term relationship. Together we’ll work towards bringing to life really special experiences for our fans around the world," said Liverpool managing director Billy Hogan last year.

The latest range is produced by current kit manufacturers New Balance, whose agreement with Reds runs until the end of next season.

Liverpool remain open to extending their deal with the American manufacturers but are looking to significantly bolster their yearly earnings from their next kit contract.

New Balance tease Liverpool's 2019/20 home kit

The Reds earn around £45million a season from New Balance but are looking to receive closer to the £75m Manchester United pick up from their agreement with Adidas.

United's agreement is the most lucrative in British football but the Reds are aiming to match those figures with their new terms, whoever they sign with.

Liverpool 's current New Balance arrangement expires at the end of next season and options are being explored across the board to strike up fresh terms.

The Reds' association with the Boston-based company has been a fruitful one both creatively and financially. Their 2017/18 kit was the highest selling Reds strip of all time after its initial release.

Such was the demand for the 17/18 kit,  Liverpool  moved to establish a pre-order system, which was set up ahead of stock replenishments in October 2017 after the strip sold out.

That was until this season's strip outsold its 17/18 counterpart to take the mantle as the most successful kit in Liverpool history.

The club unveiled their new strip for next season's campaign last month, paying homage to legendary former manager Bob Paisley .
