Liverpool Under 19s beat AC Milan with a little help from NI teen

Conor Bradley helped Liverpool Under 19s begin their UEFA Youth League campaign with a win on Wednesday.

The young Reds beat AC Milan 1-0 at Kirkby Academy ahead of Jurgen Klopp side's Champions League showdown with the Serie A giants later in the evening.

Max Woltman got the winning goal early in the first half, and it would prove the defining moment in the Group B game.

The Under 19s will look to build on the victory when they travel to Porto later this month.

Northern Ireland defender Bradley played 90 minutes of the UEFA Youth League game, which came the day after Liverpool added the Co Tyrone youngster to their senior Champions League squad.

The teenage defender is among 15 youth players who was named on List B ahead of Wednesday night's clash with AC Milan (8pm kick-off).

UEFA state that List B players must be “born on, or after, 1 January 2000 and [have] been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since [their] 15th birthday.”
