Liverpool are braced for a bid from Real Madrid for Mohamed Salah, according to the Express.
Real have been fluttering their eyelashes at Kylian Mbappe for some time but reportedly could view a move for Salah as a back-up plan if PSG refuse to let their most prized asset walk this summer.
The Egyptian enjoyed another impressive campaign for Liverpool in 2020/21, contributing 31 goals and six assists across 50 appearances in all competitions.
The 29-year-old holds star status in Jurgen Klopp's squad and Liverpool are unlikely to let him leave easily with two years remaining on his contract.
However, there have been rumours of discontent from Salah’s camp over the past few months, heightening speculation he could make an Anfield exit in the near future.

What?
Ismaila Sarr is once again on Liverpool’s radar, according to reports.
The Reds have been linked with a move to the Watford winger over the past couple of year and Sarr himself reportedly is keen to make the switch to Anfield.
However, according to a conflicting report from the Watford Observer, the newly-promoted Premier League side are unaware of any interest from Jurgen Klopp, with no ‘serious or formal approach’ forthcoming.
Liverpool's plans for the 23-year-old appear to face friction from Watford as the newspaper also claims that the promoted side are ready to rebuff any interest for the winger.
It is reported that if the Senegalese wants to join Liverpool, he will have to ‘push’ for one.
Who?
Xherdan Shaqiri
Where?
What?
Liverpool reportedly have received a first offer from Serie A side Lazio for Xherdan Shaqiri.
The 29-year-old has two years remaining on his contract with the Reds but made only five Premier League starts last season and has been linked with a move away from Anfield.
The attacker provided some impressive displays for Switzerland at Euro 2020 as they reached the quarter-finals, scoring three goals and providing an assist in five matches.
His performances led to renewed links of interest away from Liverpool with Lazio understood to be his most eager potential suitors.
The Serie A side have reportedly lodged an initial bid of €12million (€10million plus €2million bonuses) but that Liverpool are holding out for €15million.
