Liverpool transfers - Lorenzo Pellegrini bid, Gini Wijnaldum signs contract

Liverpool’s season is done and dusted, and now attention will be switching to what transfer activity the club will partake in this summer.

A whole host of players have already been tipped to join Anfield in the coming months, and they show no sign of stopping ahead of what is expected to be a busy window for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp will be keen to add to his squad and challenge for the Premier League title next term, but what players will they actually sign?

Here, we take a lookout some of the latest rumours doing the rounds and how likely they are to happen.

Who?

Lorenzo Pellegrini, Roma midfielder.

Where?

Reports in Italy have claimed that Liverpool have made a bid to sign the Italy international.

According to Corriere dello Sport, via Anfield Central , the Reds have made an offer of £25.8m to sign Pellegrini this summer.

The report goes on to say that Liverpool see Pellegrini as a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum, who is being linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

What?

It was reported last week that Pellegrini had a release clause of £25.8m in his contract and would not be keen on leaving Roma.

Now this report has emerged just as the initial rumours surface.

Pellegrini is clearly a talented player, and if Liverpool are looking for a new midfielder with value for money then he would likely be on their list.

However, if it’s true that he has no desire to leave Roma, then sorting out a deal for his signature will be very difficult, if Liverpool are even interested, of course.

Who?

Gini Wijnaldum, Liverpool midfielder.

Where?
According to The Guardian , Wijnaldum has signed a contract to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Wijnaldum is set to be a free agent when his contract at Anfield expires at the end of this month.

Various rumours have been flying around where the Dutchman could end up, and it looks like the French club have won the race.

The report states that Wijnaldum has signed a three-year contract with PSG that will see him tied down to the club until 2024.

What?

This is the first time we’ve seen a rumour that has Wijnaldum ‘agreeing’ to join his next club after Liverpool.

Barcelona have been the ones who it seemed likely he would join, but now it looks likely that it will be PSG.

Everyone at Liverpool will wish him the best, of course, but there will be some extreme disappointment at how a player of his ability has been allowed to leave on a free transfer.

Who?

Yves Bissouma, Brighton midfielder.

Where?

According to football.london, Bissouma has instructed his agent to get him a move to Arsenal amid reported interest from Liverpool.

The Reds have been linked with the Mali international for the past few months, as have Arsenal, with his future at the Amex Stadium up in the air.

The report states that Arsenal are interested in Bissouma, and the player has told his agent Michael N’Cho to sort out a deal that would see him move to the Emirates.

However, the report also states that no offer has been made for Bissouma from Arsenal.

What?

Bissouma is a player that has been linked with Liverpool for some time.

He clearly has a lot of talent and has the added advantage of already being in the Premier League for the past couple of seasons.

Liverpool are unlikely to get involved in a bidding war for his signature, as he's clearly a player admired by a number of rival clubs.
