Liverpool transfers - Franck Kessie contract boost, Carlos Soler monitored

The transfer window has closed for another summer, and Jurgen Klopp now knows what Liverpool squad he has to work with until at least January.

Ibrahima Konate was the only first-team addition that the Reds brought to the club, while several left Anfield either on a loan basis or on permanent deals.

Despite the transfer window closing, Liverpool continue to be linked with potential new players when deals can be completed again in the New Year.

Here, we take a lookout some of the latest rumours doing the rounds online and on social media and how likely they are to happen.

According to the report, Kessie has turned down the latest contract offer from Milan, alerting the likes of Liverpool.

Kessie’s current deal with Milan expires next summer, and the Serie A club are keen to hand fresh terms to the midfielder.

The report goes on to say that Liverpool, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain have all been alerted to Kessie’s situation and are considering making a move next summer.

Should Kessie not sign a new contract by January, he would be free to negotiate with clubs outside of Italy and potentially sign a pre-contract agreement.

What?

According to the report, Liverpool have placed Soler on their radar ahead of making a possible transfer in the future.

The 24-year-old is thought to be admired by Jurgen Klopp, with the Reds boss a fan of the player’s versatility.

It has also been claimed that Soler has a £125million release clause in his contract, but add that Valencia would accept a fee much less than that figure.

In the 34 appearances Soler made for Valencia last season, he scored 12 goals from midfield and provided nine assists.

He already has three goals to his name in the opening three La Liga fixtures this term.
