Liverpool transfers - Atletico Madrid 'could accept' Saul Niguez offer and Renato Sanches 'noticed'

As this summer's European Championships begin to come to an end, for most clubs, this is where the transfer season well and truly begins to get underway.

Clubs will be looking to carry out their business swiftly in the hope of giving themselves the best possible chance of success for the new campaign.

Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards have already acted in the market already as they brought in Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.

But what other names have been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer?

Who?

Saul Niguez

What?

They have reported that Atletico Madrid would be willing to accept an offer of around £40million for their Spanish midfielder.

The report insists Liverpool are preparing to go on the 'offensive' with a rumoured offer in the works that is something that Diego Simeone's side 'could accept.'

Saul is 26 years old and has been at Atletico Madrid since he made the switch from city rivals Real Madrid at youth team level.

He primarily operates as a central midfielder.

Who?

Renato Sanches

Where?

L'equipe (via Sportwitness )

What?

L'equipe have reported that Liverpool have "noticed" the performances of Renato Sanches at this summer's European Championships.

It is also reported in the same edition of the paper that Lille could let Sanches leave if the offer is 'satisfactory'.

Sanches has been linked with a move to Anfield on and off for many seasons now, but after his disappointing loan spell at Swansea in 2017/18, Sanches has spent time trying to get his career back on track.

Something he did with some fantastic performances at this summer's tournament as he helped Portugal get out of the group stage.

Who?

Philippe Coutinho

Where?

Sport

What?

Sport are reporting that former Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho is dreaming of a move back to Anfield.

Coutinho moved to Barcelona in 2018, after he vocalised his desire to play for the Spanish giants.

However, after three disastrous years in Spain, with a spell at Bayern Munich wedged in between, Barcelona are apparently eager to offload the Brazilian star for as little as 20million Euros.

Coutinho was one of the Reds' stars during his six-year stay on Merseyside, where he racked up 54 goals and 45 assists.
