Liverpool transfers: Allan Saint-Maximin interest, Arnaut Danjuma scouted, Florian Wirtz eyed

Liverpool are edging closer to the second international break of the season, and attention is already switching to matters off the pitch.

In terms of actual football, the Reds are top of the Premier League after their first six games, and are also top of their Champions League group.

Despite this, rumours continue to swirl around who Jurgen Klopp will look to bring to the club in the next transfer window when it reopens in January.

Here, we round up the latest transfer rumours surrounding players who are being tipped to either move to Anfield, or move in the opposite direction.

Who?

Allan Saint-Maximin, Newcastle winger.

What?

According to the report, Liverpool are among a group of Premier League clubs looking at potentially signing Saint-Maximin in the future.

The report states that the Reds are joined by Chelsea and Everton in showing an interest in the Newcastle winger.

Saint-Maximin moved to St James’ Park from Nice in the summer of 2019, for a reported fee of £16.5m in a deal that runs until 2025.

Arnaut Danjuma, Villarreal forward.

According to the report, Liverpool sent scouts to watch Danjuma in action in their Champions League clash against Manchester United.

Danjuma was linked with the Reds earlier in the summer prior to him joining Villarreal from Bournemouth and the winger set up Paco Alcacer's opening goal at Old Trafford.

The report goes on to say that Danjuma is being closely monitored by Liverpool, with a view to a potential move in the future.

Florian Wirtz, Bayer Leverkusen forward.

What?

According to the report, Liverpool are among a group of clubs interested in the talented young forward.

The 18-year-old is reported to be of interest to Bayern Munich, with Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United and Liverpool also in the running.

Wirtz has been in good form for Leverkusen this season, with four goals and four assists in just five appearances.
