Liverpool have no interest in signing Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge.
Reports coming out of Wales earlier this week suggested the Reds had made an initial enquiry over Etheridge's availability this summer.
The 29-year-old is expected to leave the relegated South Wales side, with promoted Aston Villa having had a bid of around £8million rejected while Fulham and West Ham United are keeping tabs on the player.
But the ECHO understands speculation Liverpool are among the potential suitors is wide of the mark with the Philippines international not on their radar.
The Reds are likely to be seeking a new goalkeeper this transfer window with Simon Mignolet expected to seek pastures new having been a dutiful understudy to first-choice Alisson Becker this season and claiming a Champions League winners' medal having been on the bench against Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid last Saturday.
With Loris Karius at Besiktas for another season, that would leave untried youngsters Caoimhin Kelleher and Kamil Grabara as the only available goalkeeping options.
Liverpool have previously been linked with several keepers, including Hull City's David Marshall and Adrian, who is a free agent having left West Ham.

Mignolet is currently with the Belgium squad preparing for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Scotland.
