Lorenzo Insigne has issued a come-and-offer-me-a-new-contract-plea to Napoli after Liverpool withdrew their interest.
Winger Insigne had placed his future at the Serie A club in doubt last month when he said that an offer might come in for him that he "can't refuse".
But the 27-year-old has revealed he is ready to commit his future to Napoli having been at the club since he was 15.
"Renewal? I'm waiting for the president," Insigne, whose current contract runs until the summer of 2022, told Sky Sport Italia.
"For my part there's maximum availability. We both want to move forward together. I hope that the signing of the contract will come soon.
"It was important to be clear about going ahead together. There has been misunderstanding but now there is the desire to continue united."
Insigne netted his 14th goal of the season at the weekend as Napoli needed an 98th minute penalty to get past Cagliari and cement their second placed finish in the Italian league.
The Italy international has played over 300 times for Napoli and is highly rated among Europe's top clubs.
Liverpool had been heavily linked with Insigne but Jurgen Klopp admitted he would not look to sign him this summer last month.
"We will not sign Lorenzo Insigne. He's a very good player, but he has a long-term contract at Napoli and we will not even try it," Klopp said.

"Transfers are not there to excite the people with a new player, the job is to improve the team and there are different ways.
"Training is the best way to do it, but if you have to sign someone then you sign them.
"The team is pretty well balanced. Our plans are not for the public, but will it be the biggest transfer window of Liverpool? No, probably not.
"But I think you would have been surprised if I said 'Yes, we will sell them all if they don't do it (win the title)'.
"Our eyes are always open, we always look, but nothing to say in the moment."
