Liverpool transfer rumours rated - Felipe Anderson linked as Sheyi Ojo is lined up for Rangers

The transfer tittle tattle continues to link Liverpool with a whole host of deals.

Thursday's rumours bring with it a couple of relatively new names on the rumour mill as the Reds get set to begin preparations for next season after the Champions League final in Madrid on June 1.

As ever, the ECHO tries to separate the fact from fiction in the increasingly intense world of transfer speculation.

Here's what is happening.

Felipe Anderson

Who? West Ham attacker Felipe Anderson enjoyed an excellent first season with the Londoners after signing from Lazio for around £40million. His displays for the Irons have now seen him tentatively linked to Liverpool.

Where? talkSPORT have cited a report from the Daily Mail, claiming: "Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a move for West Ham midfielder Felipe Anderson. The Brazilian, who joined the Hammers for a club-record fee of around £40million last summer, enjoyed an impressive first season in England."

The Mail's actual report seems fairly speculative and does not suggest that the Reds have had talks about a move for the playmaker. "Another Brazil international with a burgeoning reputation," they write. "Anderson offers more of a Premier League proven option for Liverpool."

What? Liverpool are unlikely to be making a move for Anderson this summer. West Ham would demand more than they paid for him and the Reds won't be looking to shell out huge sums for players who would only act as back-up in the squad.

Sheyi Ojo

Who? Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo has had a fairly unremarkable campaign on loan at Stade de Reims in France. He is now being linked to Rangers - but only as a loan move before he signs a new contract at Anfield.

Where? A report in the Daily Star claims: Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo is set to sign a five-year deal before immediately joining Rangers on loan. Ojo has been at Liverpool since 2011 and he’s highly rated by the staff at Anfield. And Starsport understands he’s set to be rewarded with a new five-year deal."

What? Ojo joined Reims last summer after signing a new contract with the Reds, so it seems strange to think that the club would essentially repeat their steps after a loan spell that seen him make just three starts. It is perhaps an opportune time to consider more long-term offers.

Xherdan Shaqiri

Who? It's being claimed that the Reds will consider any suitable offers for Xherdan Shaqiri this summer.

Where? After seemingly heading out on a wild goose chase that involved links to SportsMole , The Mirror and The Metro , it appears as though this original report came from former ECHO reporter Neil Jones at Goal.com . Neil writes: "Xherdan Shaqiri, though, endured a frustrating second half to the campaign and appears to be out of step with what Klopp demands tactically. A good offer would convince Liverpool to do business for the Swiss."

What? The piece is not necessarily a definitive transfer report and is more a squad round-up on what could transpire at Anfield this summer. Liverpool would entertain big-money offers for Shaqiri, but the cost of replacing a versatile attacker they snared for just £13.5m last summer would probably mean they stick rather than twist.
