Who?

Liverpool have reportedly been handed a transfer boost after highly-rated defender Matthijs de Ligt 'rejected a move to Manchester United'.

The 19-year-old Dutch centre-back has won 15 international caps and became the youngest player to ever captain Ajax in a Champions League game earlier this season.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claims Liverpool have had it 'easy' in Premier League title race

Where?

According to the Mirror, De Ligt - through super-agent Mino Raiola - told United chiefs that he had no intention of signing a five-year deal worth in the region of £250,000 despite Raiola believing it would be his best financial offer.

The Daily Star report a source close to De Ligt said : “Matthijs is going to become the best defender in the world.

“He will have the choice to join whoever he wants, but he has no interest in going to United. They are not the attractive proposition they once were.

“He knows he is in a strong bargaining position because his stock has risen so fast. He’s one of the most in-demand stars on the planet.”

What?

The quotes have been attributed to a 'source' by the Daily Star so the legitimacy is questionable.

It also seems unlikely that the defender would want himself so publicly connected with such strong statements about United.

The Mirror also have no direct quotes from Raiola or De Ligt so again it seems unlikely.

With the price Ajax will command for De Ligt too it would be a big surprise to see Jurgen Klopp making an offer.

Julian Brandt

He's scored 10 goals and achieved 12 assists in all competitions this season.

Proof Liverpool can shock Barcelona in Champions League and why Jurgen Klopp knows better than most

Where?

“I’m enjoying myself,” he told the Bundesliga’s  official website .

“I’ve got a contract with Bayer until 2021, so right now all is well.

“As things stand, I’m staying put. I just want to end the season as best we can.”

What?

Julian Brandt himself has spoken on his Bayer Leverkusen future after being heavily tipped with a move to Liverpool so clearly the update is genuine.

Brandt reportedly has a £21m release clause in his contract that could be activated this summer.

Rhian Brewster - Liverpool's wildcard might finally get the chance to prove Jurgen Klopp right

It will be an interesting summer for the talented 23-year-old with a number of clubs likely to be interested in his services - including the Reds.

Dani Ceballos

Who?

Dani Ceballos, a 22-year-old midfielder who has made more than 30 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid this season, is reportedly set to leave Los Blancos this summer after being told by Zinedine Zidane he is not in his plans.

Where?

Marca  believe Zidane hosted private talks with players and informed Ceballos of his decision.

The Spainard joined Madrid from Betis for £15m in 2017 but has struggled to hold down a regular place in the team.

What?

Liverpool were linked with a move for the 22-year-old midfielder last year and could be interested in bolstering their squad if he becomes available and for the right price.
