Liverpool transfer rumours: Pulisic development, De Paul warning, Brazilian considered

Liverpool have progressed through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League by defeating RB Leipzig but there is nothing getting away from the disappointing season to date.

With the upcoming transfer window on the horizon, the Reds are continuously being linked with a host of new players as they look to avoid a repeat of the problems they have endured in the Premier League.

Today is no different, with two wingers and a central midfielder involved in the rumour mill. In light of this, we take a look at the latest Liverpool transfer rumours and stories.

Reds monitoring Pulisic situation

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Liverpool are among the clubs monitoring Christian Pulisic's situation at Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp is known to be an admirer of the American forward, who was heavily linked with a move to Anfield prior to signing for the Blues.

Now, with Thomas Tuchel in charge at Stamford Bridge, Pulisic has featured very little and this has put some clubs on high alert. The Reds, as well as Bayern Munich and Manchester United, are said to be keeping an eye on the USA international's situation in west London.

De Paul warning

Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino has warned Liverpool it will take 'a lot' of money to sign midfielder Rodrigo De Paul this summer.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the Argentine central midfield player in recent months, as well as Leeds United.

However, if a move is to be made, the Serie A club will not allow him to leave on the cheap, according to Marino.

He said, via Sport Witness: “It takes a lot of money to get them, but it’s not like we went looking for potential buyers. I don’t have the problem of needing to advertise them. If someone doesn’t realise how strong they are, selfishly, it’s better for me”.

Reds considering swoop for Brazilian

Liverpool are 'keeping tabs' on Santos youngster Angelo Gabriel, according to a report from Sport Witness.

The 16-year-old has only been playing professional football for a few months, but the Reds are already monitoring his situation and development.

Liverpool chiefs are 'analysing the possibility of a move' for the Santos starlet. Real Madrid are also admirers of Gabriel, according to sources from the Brazilian club.
