Jurgen Klopp is classifying Rhian Brewster and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as two new signings and does not expect Liverpool to have “the biggest transfer window of all time”.
The Reds have only signed Sepp van den Berg from PEC Zwolle so far following their Champions League win over Tottenham in Madrid.
And the German watched on as the European champions opened up their pre-season with a 6-0 win against Tranmere.
But Klopp does not expect a big window, insisting he is counting Brewster and Oxlade-Chamberlain as new signings after both players’ recoveries from injury.
“We brought them (new players) in already, only you don’t realise it,” Klopp revealed.
“Rhian Brewster; Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t play last year; all the young boys today. They are all new players for us, that’s all good.
“The transfer market is open until August 8. The whole of Europe had the idea to close the transfer window early and the only country that did it was then England, so we close it now three weeks before all the others.
“We will see what we do but I don’t think it will be the biggest transfer window of all time.”
