Liverpool transfer news: Harry Wilson on his plans after finishing the season at Derby County

Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson has said that he is determined to win promotion with Derby County this season, but fully intends to return to his parent club at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who left Liverpool in the summer to join Frank Lampard’s side, has proved an immediate hit at Pride Park, scoring 12 goals in all competitions.

Wilson says he has flourished playing in a team alongside Chelsea duo Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount, who he lives with in the East Midlands, although fully intends to return to Anfield at the end of the season.

“The main focus this season is to get promoted with Derby,” Wilson told the Daily Mail.

“But Mason's goal is to play for Chelsea and my goal is to play for Liverpool. I have always felt like a Liverpool player.

“Everything is going along the right path.”

Wilson, who has made one FA Cup appearance for his parent club, also revealed that Jurgen Klopp has been in regular contact with him, making sure to text after .

“He dropped me a text to tell me he'd watched it and he was delighted with the performance - and the goal” Wilson said.

“A couple of weeks ago there was another message saying, 'Good result, good goal - keep going'. When you get those texts, it is a massive boost. You know you aren't forgotten.”
