Liverpool transfer news as Reds 'leading race' for Yunus Musah ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea

Liverpool are reportedly showing an interest in signing Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah.

The Reds have previously been linked with a move for the talented midfielder, who impressed for the United States during the World Cup in Qatar. His performances at the tournament have seen the player linked with a move away from Valencia.

It was during the tournament that Liverpool were first linked with a move for Musah. The 20-year-old was one of his country’s key players before they were knocked out by the Netherlands in the last-16 stage.

It has been reported that Liverpool are interested in signing Musah in the near future. According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, the Reds are one of three clubs who could make a move to sign the midfielder.

It has been claimed that Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring Musah to the club to strengthen his midfield options. The report adds that the player is a signing for the future, having not yet proven himself at a “great club” like Liverpool.

Two other Premier League clubs are being linked with a move for Musah. Chelsea and Arsenal are also apparently interested in a move for the Valencia star.

The report goes a step further by saying that Liverpool are ahead of the two London clubs in the race to sign Musah. Although, the youngster was part of Arsenal’s academy before he moved to Spain.
