Liverpool training pictures as Champions League hero returns with new look

Liverpool trained at Melwood today ahead of their trip to Sheffield United at the weekend.

Jurgen Klopp's side take on Chris Wilder's men at 12.30pm on Saturday.

The Reds will be hoping to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League and make it seven wins out of seven.

And it seems as though Klopp's forward options may be bolstered, with Divock Origi pictured in training this afternoon.

Origi did not make the squad for the 2-1 win against Chelsea and was also absent from the 2-0 win against MK Dons in the Carabao Cup with an ankle knock.

But it looks like he might be back in contention for Sheffield United.

The Champions League hero was also sporting a new look after a fresh haircut.

Klopp will hold his press conference for the match on Friday morning, but Wilder has already addressed the media.

United have lost just two of their six league fixtures this season with both defeats coming at home.

The Sheffield boss, however, insists his charges will not be overawed by the occasion.

Wilder said: "Playing the European champions at home was always going to be one of those fixtures that you look forward to.

"Six years ago this fixture was a million miles away.

"I don't want my players getting starry-eyed, asking for shirts and things getting signed. They aren't like that and they won't be like that."

Wilder added: "We're on a level playing field in that it's a Premier League fixture.

"Of course there's an enormous gap between both clubs at the moment and one where we're trying to make that gap a little bit closer.

"If you ask all our players before the game, they want to get stuck into the opposition.

"Everyone will have it down as an away win, but we've got to find ways to hurt them."
