Liverpool told to sign nine-goal Premier League flop after 'brilliant' form

Villarreal star Arnaut Danjuma would be a fantastic addition to Liverpool’s attack according to Paul Robinson.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the Dutch international who has impressed in Spain since his summer switch from Bournemouth.

Danjuma has scored nine goals in 18 appearances, four of which were in the Champions League to help Unai Emery’s side qualify for the last-16.

The 24-year-old usually operates on the left wing or as a central striker, but would be unlikely to start in front of Sadio Mane or Diogo Jota if he did sign for the Reds.

However, Robinson insists the Netherlands star would add quality and depth to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

“He’s been brilliant under Unai Emery in a team that has done really well in recent years," he told Football Insider .

“I don’t think he is a player who would improve Liverpool’s starting XI straight away though.

“There is a lot of games for a club like Liverpool though so he would have a role to play. He would not be one of the first names on the team sheet but he is certainly a player who would add value to their squad.

“I could see him fitting into Klopp’s style of play. I think he’d do well.”

Villarreal will reportedly not entertain any offers for the player until the summer.
