A Liverpool return for Raheem Sterling seems to be the last thing that could happen after the forward revealed to the Financial Times that he would be willing to leave Manchester City for more game time.
Sterling left Liverpool in 2015 for £49 million after bursting onto the scene as a youngster at Anfield and the move has left a sour taste in the mouth of the Reds fans.
Former agent, Aidy Ward, was said to play a part in Sterling’s Liverpool departure, but the England star has since parted ways with his former representative.

The 26-year-old isn’t a regular in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI anymore and he has expressed his desire to leave the club if this doesn't change in the near future.
During Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Man City at Anfield at the start of October, Sterling started the game on the bench and was met with a fiery atmosphere once introduced to the action.
Carlton Palmer told This Is Futbol: “No chance, not a prayer, not after the way he left. I mean would Jurgen Klopp be interested in taking Raheem Sterling? Of course, I think he would be.
“You never say never in football, I mean that would be a great bit of business, but would Man City sell Raheem Sterling back to Liverpool when Liverpool are going to be their rivals for the Premier League title? I don’t think that’s ever going to happen.”
At the time of the sale, Sterling was taking a step up in going to Man City - he wanted to win trophies and Liverpool wasn’t in a position as a club where that could happen.
If Jurgen Klopp had been at the club, things may have been different, but Liverpool won’t be ruing that missed opportunity.
