Liverpool told Jarrod Bowen transfer 'could work wonders' after West Ham brace

Liverpool fans have once again been won over by Jarrod Bowen after his latest performance for West Ham.

The winger scored twice to give David Moyes’ side a 2-0 win over Norwich City at the London Stadium and lift them above Arsenal into the Champions League spots.

Having been linked with the 25-year-old in the summer, the Reds ’ reported interest in the 25-year-old appeared to split sections of the fanbase.

However, Bowen has since demonstrated why he was rumoured to be of interest to Jurgen Klopp, as Liverpool supporters called for his signing on social media.

Bowen narrowly missed out on a hat-trick against Norwich on Wednesday night, having seen a goal ruled out for offside and also striking the woodwork after chipping the ball over goalkeeper Tim Krul.

His latest brace for the Hammers takes his combined total of league goals and assists to 14, as he looks to earn his first call-up to Gareth Southgate's England squad.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has previously said that Bowen is a player that he likes “a lot” and the former Hull City man has been taking inspiration from the Reds’ own talisman Mohamed Salah.

"I think Mo Salah is the perfect example. The goals he scores and assists he gets, the impact he has on games and consistently doing it every season since he joined Liverpool,” Bowen said when speaking about the Egyptian forward.

"He is definitely one that I look at and I think he is one of the best players in the world at the moment.

“As a player you always want to look at people in a similar position to yours and learn from them."
