Liverpool have cut the cost of tickets for their supporters travelling to the Champions League semi-final showdown with Barcelona.
The Catalan giants confirmed that tickets for away fans for the first leg at the Nou Camp on May 1 would cost £103 (€119).
Liverpool, who have been given an allocation of 4,620, had hoped to agree a lower reciprocal price like they did with FC Porto in the last round but Barcelona weren’t interested.
As a result Liverpool have decided to also charge Barca fans £103 for the second leg at Anfield on May 7 and then use the extra revenue to subsidise away ticket costs by €31 (£27). That brings the price down to €88 (£76).
Manchester United adopted the same policy for their quarter-final clash with Barca after their fans were hit with the same sky-high prices.

A LFC statement read: “The club believes parity of pricing is the most logical approach and remains committed to working with UEFA, ECA (European Club Association) and other member clubs with a view to introducing a more structured ticket pricing process for Champions League matches.”
Porto were set to charge Reds fans €85 for a ticket in the away end of the Estadio do Dragao this week but that was lowered to €60 (£52) following constructive talks between the two clubs.
