Spurs keen to tie up Ceballos deal amid Liverpool interest

Mauricio Pochettino has urged Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to tie up a deal to sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid amid Liverpool's interest in the Spaniard, according to reports.

Spurs have been linked with the Spain international on numerous occasions since the conclusion of the 2018/19 campaign, although reports have suggested he has a €500m release clause installed in his contract with Zinedine Zidane's side.

He recently stated that he may need a loan move away from the Santiago Bernabeu to bolster his hopes of featuring for Spain at Euro 2020.

“I think [Zinedine] Zidane will have seen the tournament,” said Ceballos after Spain U21s’ win over Germany U21s in the final. “But we all know what he thinks.

“I would like to try out something new: next year, my goal is to play 40 games and play in the Euros.”

And Sport claim Pochettino is increasingly eager to wrap up a deal to take Ceballos to North London as reports in Spain have suggested Liverpool could swoop to snap up the 22-year-old from under their noses.

Lukaku 'makes decision on future'

Romelu Lukaku is eager to leave Manchester United, according to reports.

The Belgian striker has struggled to impress under at Old Trafford and has been widely tipped to leave the Red Devils this summer.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan.

And the Sun claim Lukaku is keen to depart the club he joined from Everton in 2017.

Arsenal defender refused to go on tour

Laurent Koscielny has refused to go on Arsenal's pre-season tour of the United States.

It comes amid reports that the French defender is eager to leave the Emirates Stadium.

A club statement read: "Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel to the US for our pre-season tour.

"We are very disappointed by Laurent’s actions, which are against our clear instructions. 

"We hope to resolve this matter and will not be providing any further comment at this time."

Arsenal are also said to be chasing the signature of Southampton defender Cedric Soares.

Portuguese outlet Diario de Noticias claim the Gunners are ready to battle it out with French duo Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco for his signature, with the defender reportedly worth £65,000 per week.

Murray linked with Cardiff move

Cardiff City are considering a move for Brighton striker Glenn Murray, according to the Mirror.

The 35-year-old has just one year left to run on his current deal with the Seagulls, and it's been claimed that the Bluebirds are eyeing up the frontman ahead of their return to the Championship.

Murray netted 15 goals in 42 appearances for Brighton last season.

Neil Warnock has made it known that he is eager to bolster his attacking options in the coming weeks, and Murray could well be the man to fire the Yorkshireman to a record ninth promotion should he make the move to South Wales.

Everton man set for Championship move

Kieran Dowell is set to secure another loan move away from Everton.

The 21-year-old has previously had spells with Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United but is now expected to secure a move to Derby Count, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Dowell has struggled to break into the first team at Goodison Park, featuring just twice under Marco Silva in the opening half of the 2018/19 season.
