Liverpool to get Christmas village with German food and oompah band

Liverpool is set to welcome a festive winter village this December - but it’s for a limited time only.

Heading to Camp and Furnace in the Baltic Triangle is The Christkindelmarkt, a Christmas pop-up promising to bring a slice of Germany to the city.

The four day event is set to feature live performances from The Bavarian Stompers, a well-known oompah show band, a selection of authentic German beers and plenty of festive treats.

Camp and Furnace will be transformed into a scenic winter village from December 20 - 23, with mulled wine, traditional chalet stalls, authentic German food and more than enough beer to go around.

Paul Speed, managing director at Camp and Furnace, said: “We’re known for the huge variety of shows and events we put on so we’re excited to welcome the Christkindelmarkt just in time for Christmas – there’ll be plenty of traditional food and drink on offer, as well as lively entertainment to get everyone in the festive spirit.”

This Christmas , Camp and Furnace is also hosting a series of festive film screenings such as Elf, The Grinch and It’s A Wonderful Life.

Tickets for Christkindelmarkt start from £6 and are available via www.campandfurnace.com.
