Liverpool to face extended break as Fulham reach FA Cup quarter-finals

Liverpool's Premier League match with Fulham on Saturday, March 18 will be postponed after the Cottagers progressed to the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Marco Silva's side defeated Leeds United 2-0 at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night and the last eight of the famous, old trophy will take place on the weekend of March 17-20.

That means Jurgen Klopp's side will face yet another rearranged fixture on top of the two games in hand they already have on fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool will now only face three Premier League matches in March as they take on Wolves, Manchester United and Bournemouth before facing Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

The clash with Madrid will be the last time the Reds play in March with the international break taking place during the final weekend of the month.

Klopp's men will then face the toughest test of them all after the break when they travel to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, April 1 to take on Manchester City.
