Liverpool title chasers have to win EVERY game now, says Sadio Mane

Kop star Sadio Mane knows Liverpool must win all seven of their remaining league games if they’re going to lift the Premier League title.

In-form Mane, who has scored 12 goals in his last 12 games, and co face third-placed Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday knowing victory is vital.

“It’s very clear to us what we have to do,” he said. “We want to win all our remaining seven games, and wait for Manchester City to crack. That’s the way things are and in the dressing room we know it.

“The numbers are clear and our great challenge is to win our matches. Every one will be a final and we cannot fail in any of them if we want to be champions.

Senegal international Mane added: “The message is that we must be ready for two hard months and the key is to forget about Manchester City and focus only on the matches and nothing else. In my mind success depends on us – and only us.”

And a victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side over Spurs would put them a massive 18 points ahead of the north Londoners and dump them out of the title race, making it a straight fight between Liverpool and defending champions City, who are one point ahead after a 2-0 win away to relegation candidates Fulham on Saturday.

“Tottenham are still there with options, but if we beat them the picture will be a lot clearer,” admitted 26-year-old Mane, now Liverpool's joint-top scorer in the Premier League this season after joining Mohamed Salah on 17 goals.

“It’s the first game in two vital months that will decide the title. The players are ready and my message to the fans is to trust us and support us to the very maximum.

“I know they will – and in return we will try to win all the trophies we can this season.”
