Liverpool have been told by former midfielder Didi Hamann that Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman is the best winger in football and would make an ideal replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Salah has been linked with a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid, but there is no reason to believe that he would want to leave Anfield any time soon or that he is unhappy on Merseyside.
"Two of the best wingers in the world are [Serge] Gnabry, who was at Arsenal, and Kingsley Coman – he is running riot at the moment," Hamann told Stadium Astro.
"Would they want to leave Bayern Munich? I don’t think so but you don’t know.
"I don’t know if there is anything in Salah giving an interview or wanting to go to Spain. If he wants to leave, Barcelona and Real Madrid would be interested.
"If a player wants to leave, you have to let him go. If he has the desire to leave, it’s probably likely he will in the summer. There is some fantastic talent in Germany and France. I think [Liverpool] will have a list [of possible replacements]."
Salah is under contract at Liverpool until 2024 and is the current top scorer in the Premier League this season.
"The only reason to leave Liverpool right now is really the weather," Klopp said last week amidst the rumours surrounding Salah.
"What other reason could be there? This is one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"We pay good money, maybe not the most in the world, but we pay good, and we have a sensational stadium, outstanding supporters with a fanbase all over the world.
"So our colours are red, which is the nicest colour anyway, so what is the reason? But you cannot force people to stay but that is it.
"We never did by the way, it is all about timing in the right moments, stuff like this.
"We have made changes to bring players in and if someone wants to leave we cannot hold them back.
"I just don't understand why someone would want to go."
Liverpool will have to have a plan in mind for replacing Salah one day, though they will hope that time does not come soon.
Hamann added: "For me, the best winger out there at the moment is Coman.
"He had injury problems when he came to Munich but he got fit and scored the winner in the Champions League final.
"He’s two-footed, he’s quick, he’s very clever, great decision making and his finishing has improved a lot. Coman is the player."
