Liverpool third kit: Reds reveal 'phantom black' away jersey for 2019-20 season

Liverpool have released their third kit for the 2019-20 season, with the colours chosen in tribute to the city.

The strip will be worn for the first time against Sevilla in Boston on Sunday evening, and comes in phantom black with an embroidered club crest in Tidepool - a colour the club says is "reminiscent of the iconic Liver birds that sit atop the Royal Liver Building in the centre of the city.

The graphic design across the front of the shirt is also an homage to the city of Liverpool's street signs, while the jersey has been inscribed with Bob Paisley’s signature in tribute to the late legendary manager who would have celebrated his 100th birthday this year,

Trent Alexander-Arnold said of the kit: "It’s always special to pull on the Liverpool shirt.

"The fact this one is a celebration of my city and the streets I grew up playing in makes it even better.

"I can’t wait to wear it on the pitch."
