Liverpool team news confirmed for Man City

Jurgen Klopp names an unchanged side as Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield.

Despite his two-goal showing off the substitutes' bench in Tuesday's rout of Porto, Roberto Firmino is once more kept in reserve as Diogo Jota is again preferred ahead of the Brazilian up top.

Jota scored in last week's 3-3 draw at Brentford is once more entrusted to lead the line in between Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

That also means Curtis Jones keeps his place in midfield alongside captain Jordan Henderson and Fabinho following his excellent showing in that 5-1 win against the Portuguese side this week.

Alisson Becker continues in goal behind a back four of James Milner, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Andy Robertson.
