Liverpool team news confirmed Diogo Jota drops to the bench for Wolves

Diogo Jota is on the bench as Liverpool host his former club Wolves at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp makes one change from the team that beat Ajax 1-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night with the in-form Portuguese forward making way for Roberto Firmino.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita both return to the match-day squad as the Reds' lengthy absence list shortens with the comeback of both players.

Keita and Alexander-Arnold returned to full training this week but are deemed fit enough for the bench only as the Reds host Nuno Espirito Santo's side.

Caoimhin Kelleher keeps his place in goal after his assured showing on his Champions League debut with Adrian part of the reserves.

Gini Wijnaldum keeps his place in Liverpool's midfield as the Dutchman makes his 18th appearance of the campaign alongside captain Jordan Henderson and Curtis Jones.

Liverpool: Kelleher; N. Williams, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Mane, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Keita, Minamino, Jota, Tsimikas, Phillips, Alexander-Arnold.
