Liverpool team news as Rhys Williams named in starting line up and five injuries confirmed

Ozan Kabak misses out through injury for Liverpool as Rhys Williams starts against Southampton at centre-back.

Williams makes his first start since the 1-0 defeat to Fulham two months ago as he partners Nat Phillips at the back for the Reds.

Kabak, who is described as a "minor injury concern", joins Ben Davies on a lengthy Liverpool injury list at centre-back that also includes long-term absentees Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

In midfield, Thiago Alcantara and Gini Wijnaldum will supplement Fabinho at the base as Jurgen Klopp names a strong-looking engine room for the visit of the Saints.
