Jurgen Klopp, who is also isolating for the game at Stamford Bridge, confirmed that three of his first-team squad would miss Sunday’s match in his Friday press conference.
Liverpool have now confirmed that it is Matip, Alisson and Firmino who are set for a period of isolation.

Caoimhin Kelleher steps in for Alisson in goal as Ibrahima Konate deputises in place of Matip at centre-back.
Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane both start against Thomas Tuchel’s side in their final match before flying out to Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations.
James Milner is named in midfield alongside captain Jordan Henderson and Fabinho as Diogo Jota is selected up top with Salah and Mane either side.
Kostas Tsimikas continues to fill in for Andy Robertson at left-back as Trent Alexander-Arnold keeps his place on the right.
