Liverpool team confirmed for Wolves as Virgil van Dijk rumours prove false

Jurgen Klopp has named an unchanged side for the visit to Wolves this evening as Adam Lallana misses out with a virus.

Liverpool can re-establish their 16-point lead at the summit of the Premier League with victory at Molineux and Klopp has entrusted the same lineup who beat Manchester United 2-0 on Sunday to do so.

That means Alisson continues in goal behind a back four of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson.

It's 675 minutes since the Reds last conceded a goal in the Premier League, dating back to the Merseyside derby win over Everton on December 4 and that back five have been instrumental in seven successive clean sheets.

The Reds' midfield three sees Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continue alongside captain Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum with the front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah entrusted to do the damage in the Black Country.

Academy starlets Neco Williams and Curtis Jones are named on the bench alongside new January signing Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi, Joel Matip, Fabinho and Adrian.

Xherdan Shaqiri once more misses out after suffering what has been described as a minor problem.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Mane, Firmino

Subs: Adrian, Fabinho, Minamino, Origi, Matip, Jones, Williams.
