Liverpool target Florian Neuhaus goal for Germany in Euro 2020 warm up match

With Gini Wijnaldum now at Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool are being linked with potential replacements.

One such player is Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus.

The German midfielder has been linked with the Reds after a standout season with his club and the Reds are believed to be keeping an eye on his performances in the Euros.

With Euro 2020 underway, Liverpool fans may also wanted to catch a glimpse of Neuhaus, especially if they missed his appearances in the Champions League against Manchester City earlier this year.

Bayern Munich powerhouse Leon Goreztka is a doubt ahead of their 'Group of Death' opener against France as he steps up his recovery from the muscle tear he suffered against Neuhaus' club, Borussia Monchengladbach, last month.

And Neuhaus did his chances of a start no harm in the build-up to the competition by getting on the scoresheet for Joachim Low's side.

It took just two minutes after half-time for Neuhaus to score his second international goal for Germany.

Robin Gosens' cross forced a scramble before it fell to the 23-year-old who placed his effort into the corner from just five yards out.

Not the most amazing goal, in the right place at the time, but they all count.
