Man City complete defender deal

Manchester CIty have completed a transfer deal in the market for a defender, with Philippe Sandler moving to join Anderlecht on loan for the entirety of the 2019-20 campaign.

The 22-year-old will work under a familiar face in Belgium, as his manager will be former City captain Vincent Kompany - who is preparing for his first year in charge of the club.

Sandler impressed in his two senior appearances for City so far, which came in the 7-0 FA Cup drubbing over Rotherham United and the League Cup victory against Burton Albion.

Lille manager confirms Liverpool contact

French outlet RMC are reporting that Lille manager Gerard Lopez has confirmed that Liverpool have been in contact with star Nicholas Pepe.

“I know there have been discussions with the player, not with us as a club,”  Lopez said.

“Liverpool have players in those positions, and I read that maybe there was players who leave, or not. I am not particularly focused on Liverpool. But it is true that there have been discussions with agents.”

Everton to finalise winger’s deal

Everton are set to pen young winger Josh Bowler down to fresh terms at Goodison Park but will immediately sent on loan to join Championship side Hull City, the Liverpool Echo reports .

The 20-year-old was in fine form last season during the club’s triumph in the Premier League 2, scoring the goal against Brighton in April that clinched the trophy.

He will now be rewarded with a new deal and will then move to join the Tigers to fight for first-team football.

Newcastle United’s deal for Joelinton imminent

Steve Bruce is wasting no time in splashing the cash at new club Newcastle United and a deal for Hoffenheim striker Joelinton is in the works, with the Chronicle reporting a transfer is expected to be completed imminently.

The 22-year-old is set to cost a club-record fee for the Magpies, significantly exceeding the reported £20m figure that they paid Atlanta United for Paraguay international Miguel Almiron in January.

Hoffenheim have already confirmed that Joelinton is in advanced talks with a Premier League side to complete a transfer away from the Bundesliga.

Arsenal transfer target drops social media hint

Reported Arsenal target Everton Soares has dropped a transfer hint on social media after following new Gunners signing Gabriel Martinelli on Instagram.

The 22-year-old, valued at £30million, is heavily-linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium to provide a much-needed boost to Unai Emery’s side in the wide positions, with reports in South America suggesting a deal is close.

While fans wait for further news, the forward’s social media activity may have dropped a hint on what awaits him in the coming weeks.

Jan Vertonghen hands Tottenham transfer boost

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a significant boost in the transfer market as experienced defender Jan Vertonghen has made it clear he has no intention to leave North London.

The Belgium international has entered the final 12 months of his deal with Mauricio Pochettino’s side, leading to speculation that he could be prized away from the Lilywhites this summer.

However, in comments made in Singapore in the club’s pre-season tour, Vertonghen waved away the rumours .

Man United bid 'in coming hours'

Manchester United are set to bid for Sporting Lisbon ace Bruno Fernandes "in the coming hours".

News outlets in Portugal state that an offer could be imminent, with Sporting demanding £56m for the midfeilder.

Reports add that Fernandes' agent Miguel Pinho is finally in England and is 'agreeing the edges' of the switch.

Cooper's Ampadu admission

Steve Cooper has revealed Swansea City have not held discussions with Chelsea over a move for Wales international Ethan Ampadu, but admitted he would be a "very good player" if he were to become available.

: "Ethan's a really good player.

"I think I read today that there might be a loan deal going on. I can't say we've had conversations with Chelsea but if he would be available then he'd be a very good player.

"But there's no news on that from Swansea's point of view."
