Liverpool chippy Woo Tan Scran has been named Best Newcomer at last night’s The Golden Chopsticks Awards.
The awards ceremony was hosted by co-founder Gok Wan MBE in London last night where the plant-based chippy on Lark Lane was handed their award.
The Golden Chopsticks Awards celebrates the contribution of East and South East Asian cuisine to the UK catering industry.

The Woo Tan Scran team posted on Instagram last night: “A massive thank you to everyone, all our staff, customers, friends and family! And thanks to the amazing team at The Golden Chopsticks Awards and a massive shoutout to every vendor, chef, cookbook writer, restaurant and takeaway that was up for awards, absolute kings and queens of the trade.
