Liverpool supermarket where there's rarely a queue during lockdown

As we near the end of our eighth week of lockdown it seems queuing to get into supermarkets across the country has now become the norm.

Social distancing measures, which remain in place across supermarkets mean that many are operating a strict customer limit and once this limit has been met shoppers are being asked to wait outside until people leave.

The measures are in place to protect staff and customers.

However, there is one supermarket in Liverpool which has been praised for its lack of queues, fully stocked shelves and cleaning stations available in stores.

Jack's supermarket, based on County Road in Walton, has been recommended by many shoppers as the store to head to if you want to avoid the queues.

The chain was named after Tesco's founder, Jack Cohen, and specialises in offering food that is grown, reared or made in Britain at what the company says is "the lowest possible prices".

It has stores based in Wavertree and St Helens too.

On Facebook, shoppers are regularly advising others that Jack's on County Road is well stocked with nappies, formula and paracetamol.

One user also said: "We shop in Jacks small queues, always stocked to the max and they have a trolley cleaning station for the handles."

Another added: "Jack's on County Road have every size of their own brand nappies in, it's fully stocked."
