Liverpool have been forced to change their training preparations ahead of the Community Shield against Arsenal.
The Gunners will take on the Premier League champions in just over two weeks, only just over a month since the 2019/20 Premier League campaign came to an end.
The Liverpool Echo report that Liverpool players, including new left-back Kostas Tsimikas, are set to report for pre-season on Saturday, August 15.
After a short break of only 20 days, Liverpool were planning a warm-weather trip but those plans have been disrupted.
It is also understood that a training camp in Evian, France was set to take place next week as part of preparations for the new season.
However, it was announced on Thursday by the UK Government that France will be added to the UK's list of countries requiring people to isolate for 14 days after returning, starting this when the group meet up on August 15.
That has left a reshuffle which has Liverpool considering new bases in Germany and Austria, with the aim to make sure everyone keeps within the quarantine rules and can still play and work upon the conclusion of pre-season ahead of the Arsenal clash.
Both clubs return to Premier League action on September 12 and will discover their fixture schedules in one week on August 21.
