Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster is set to complete a £23.5million move to Sheffield United.
The ECHO understands the young striker travelled to join up with Chris Wilder's side on Thursday night ahead of carrying out a medical.
The Reds have agreed a total deal with the South Yorkshire club worth £23.5m, a club record fee for the Blades, which includes a 15% sell-on fee as well as the all-important buyback clause which will be valid for the next three seasons.
The club have continued with a tradition of insisting on a buyback clause when selling any highly-rated young players, much like they did when agreeing a deal with Bournemouth for Dominic Solanke.
Michael Edwards and Liverpool's revered transfer committee see this way of working as the future of loan deals, which is in essence an enhanced loan.
As with Solanke, Brewster’s development will be closely monitored by Loan and Pathways Manager Julian Ward.
Ward will provide regular updates to both Jurgen Klopp and Edwards on the players development.
Liverpool believe that Brewster needs a minimum of two years in the Premier League to aid him in the next step of his development.
They were open to selling the 20-year-old goalscorer, only if the club buying him would be fully invested in his development and give him the game time at the top level that he needs.
Wilder's plan for Brewster was a huge selling point to both the player and the Reds and his the manager's insistence in wanting Brewster has paid off.

The Premier League champions believe Wilder can give Brewster the platform and man management to enhance his career.
Crystal Palace were also extremely keen on securing the services of the frontman and held discussions with both the player and the Reds, but they were wary of the buyback clause and Liverpool's valuation.
Roy Hodgson's side tabled a bid of £17m with a £50m buyback but this was rejected.
