Liverpool striker nets double as new signing scores in 5-0 friendly win

Liverpool's U18 side dominated Watford in a friendly at St. George's Park on Saturday afternoon, with a brace from Oakley Cannonier and strikes from new signing Bobby Clark, Harvey Blair and James Balagizi securing a comfortable 5-0 victory.

Yesterday's friendly was in place of the youngsters' postponed league game.

Clark, who signed for the Reds from Newcastle earlier this week, will be pleased to get off the mark in his first outing in a Liverpool shirt.

While Cannonier continued his flying start to the campaign.

Speaking on the victory, U18 manager Bridge-Wilkinson told Liverpoolfc.com: “It was a great opportunity for us to play at St. George’s Park and the boys played extremely well.

“It was good to play against a team we don’t play against too often and it was a really good workout for us.”

The U18s are next in league action on Saturday 11 September when they travel to Nottingham Forrest.
