Liverpool have agreed to sell academy forward Liam Millar to Swiss outfit Basel in a €1.5m deal.
The ECHO understands the Reds have also negotiated a 20% sell-on clause for the 21-year-old, who is set to bring a five-year stint at Anfield to a close.
Born in Canada, Millar first moved to England with Fulham as a 13-year-old before securing a switch to Anfield in the summer of 2016.
Much of his senior experience since has come through loans, the striker enjoying two half-season stints at Kilmarnock and one at Charlton Athletic.
However, he did earn one first-team outing for Liverpool in that time, starting a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup in February 2020.
Millar made 27 appearances in League One for Charlton last term, prompting interest from a number of clubs ahead of the summer.
And it is Basel who have eventually struck a deal as they look to improve on a second-placed finish in the Swiss Super League last term.

Completition of the deal is expected to be delayed as the logistics of arranging a medical during the pandemic are tackled.
But the clubs have agreed a fee that should see Millar bring his time at Liverpool to a close this summer.
