Liverpool stars fuel transfer speculation after Thiago Alcantara 'agrees deal'

Speculation linking Liverpool with a move to Thiago Alcantara has stepped up with reports in France that the Bayern Munich star has agreed a four-year deal.

RMC Sport say that Thiago has already started to say his goodbyes to Bayern Munich team-mates after agreeing personal terms with Liverpool and already found a house.

It is claimed that the only thing left to be resolved is a fee being agreed between the two clubs with Bayern asking for more than £30million whereas Liverpool are hoping to pay around £18m.

And Liverpool stars Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have fuelled speculation Thiago could be heading to Anfield - by ‘liking’ footage of the midfielder on Instagram.

Thiago put in an impressive display for Bayern in their thrashing of Chelsea to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

And both Henderson and Alexander-Arnold appeared to signal the admiration of the man who could soon become their team-mate by ‘liking’ footage of his highlights from the official Champions League Instagram account.

The footage was captioned: “Thiago masterclass. Anticipation, awareness, vision”.

After a recent groin injury, Thiago played over an hour against Chelsea.

He completed 64 passes in a 4-1 win before following that up in Bayern’s stunning 8-2 win over Barcelona in Lisbon on Friday.

He completed the most passes of any player on the pitch, finding his man 74 times as they set up a semi-final clash with Lyon on Wednesday.

The future of Thiago is set to be resolved after their Champions League campaign is complete.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are already in pre-season ahead of the new Premier League campaign having headed to Austria to be put through their paces.
