Liverpool stars back Raheem Sterling in demanding stronger action against inequality

Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are part of a huge new anti-racism campaign led by former Liverpool star Raheem Sterling.

The campaign is calling for change at the top of football, delivering a message that players and indeed people in general are 'tired' of calling for change when it comes to issues of racism and equality.

Sterling, along with Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gary Lineker and Borussia Dortmund and England star Jadon Sancho have made a powerful video highlighting the lack of diversity in powerful positions in sports' governing bodies.

Sterling has been at the forefront of conversations about race and he has now launched the campaign across social media just one day before the Premier League is set to return.

The campaign highlights that from 120 leading positions across the FA, Lawn Tennis Association and UK Athletics, there are only three black board members with none of the FA's 11 board members being black.

Sterling launched the campaign with a 60-second video featuring the likes of Vincent Kompany, Kevin De Bruyne and Gael Clichy, as well as Liverpool stars Oxlade-Chamberlain and Henderson.

You can watch the video below:

The participants hope that it will push the Government into action, using their combined following of more than 60 million across Twitter and Instagram.

Within the video, the many sportspeople stress just how tired they are of calling for change and seeing no action, and it ends with Sterling making a clear point that he will 'never tire of being black'.
