Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott posts emotional Hillsborough tribute after Blackburn goal

Harvey Elliott posted a touching tribute to victims of the Hillsborough tragedy after scoring a match-winning goal for Blackburn.

Ahead of the game against Derby, Elliott uploaded a picture on his Instagram story of a white undershirt with '96 YNWA' on it while writing the hashtag of #JFT96 in memory of the men, women and children who lost their lives in the disaster.

Thursday marked the 32nd anniversary of the devastating incident with Sir Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool manager when the tragedy unfolded at the club's game with Nottingham Forest, joining Jurgen Klopp and other club representatives who laid floral wreaths at the Hillsborough memorial at Anfield.

Staff and players later observed a minute's silence at the club's training complex while ninety six balloons were released at Anfield, one for each of the Liverpool supporters who died as a result of the stadium disaster in Sheffield in 1989.

And now Elliott, who is on loan from Liverpool at Blackburn this season, has paid his own tribute after scoring in a 2-1 win for his side.

Reds legend Ian Rush replied to Elliott on Instagram with a love heart emoji while replying with "YNWA".

The likes of Curtis Jones, Neco Williams and Rhian Brewster all sent their support in too.
