Liverpool starlet completes loan transfer to relegated French club

Adam Lewis will join French side Amiens SC on a season-long loan deal.

The left-back signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool last month but he will spend the 2020/21 campaign on loan with the Ligue 2 outfit.

The versatile 20-year-old has been with the Reds since Under-6 level and progressed through the ranks at Kirkby before making his senior debut last season during Liverpool's FA Cup win against Shrewsbury Town at Anfield.

Amiens will be hoping defender Lewis, who can play in a number of positions on the left flank and in central midfield, will help them to gain promotion back into the French top flight after they were relegated last term.

Their season kicks off against Nancy on Saturday, August 22, so Lewis could be put straight into action.
