Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk hits back after Kenny Dalglish's FIFA 20 challenge

Ahead of FIFA 20's launch, EA Sports have announced a whole host of new Ultimate Team Icons, allowing gamers to play as some of the most legendary players to have ever played the game.

In FIFA 19, gamers had the likes of Pele, Diego Maradona and Eusebio to play with. But, in FIFA 20, they've got 14 brand new icons to play with and there are some big names coming to the game.

Liverpool legends Ian Rush, John Barnes and Kenny Dalglish have joined the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Andrea Pirlo, Ian Wright, Didier Drogba, Ronald Koeman, Carlos Alberto, Pep Guardiola, Garrincha, Hugo Sanchez and Gianluca Zambrotta as new Icons for FUT20, in what is a super strong Icon lineup.

But, ahead of the game's release date, Dalglish has got himself into a bit of a Twitter spat regarding his FIFA 20 Ultimate Team card, with his own grandson!

Dalglish's grandson did not hold back in his challenge to the Liverpool legend.

That's right, his very own flesh and blood is planning to play as Virgil van Dijk in FIFA 20 and 'kick lumps out of' Dalglish's virtual player!

But, it didn't take long for Dalglish to respond to the taunts.

The Liverpool legend sent a picture of his virtual pro looking very determined, saying that he was ready to take on Van Dijk on FIFA 20.

Dalglish said: "You can tell my grandson to pass on this picture to @VirgilVDijk . I’m ready!"

Then, just when you thought things had died down, Liverpool defender Van Dijk got involved.

Along with his message, the Dutchman also sent a GIF of Andy Robertson saying "easy target" to Dalglish, insinuating that the defender could easily get to grips with Dalglish's virtual pro on the game.

It won't be long until we can find out who would come out on top in FIFA 20, Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk or Dalglish in his peak?
